I’m currently using a shampoo I hate. I won’t name names, but I will say that it is sulfate free and I bought it in a gallon form. It doesn’t suds up. I know that technically shampoo does not have to suds, but for me, it really needs to. I can’t tell if I have coated my hair if it doesn’t lather up well for me. Then once I am finished and get out of the shower my hair ends up being greasy and gross. Especially underneath.
I have finally used up the gallon of useless gross that I’ve been using for a year and now I need something new. What do you use for color treated hair? I want something that suds up really well and keeps your color vibrant because mine tends to fade quickly.
So what do you recommend?

Aveda Color Conserve shampoo is the absolute best!

My hair isn’t colored, but I’ve got fine and limp hair. I’ve been using Envia from Melaleuca. It’s been great. It’s environmentally friendly, but still suds up for me. Admittedly not as much as traditional brands, but enough.
I tooooooooooootally recommend this Tresemme Color Safe Shampoo – http://www.tresemme.com/color/products/vitamin-e-color-revitalize-shampoo.aspx!! It really does keep my colored hair totally vibrant for 40+ washes. I absolutely love it. I bought a salon brand and this has totally beat that one out of the water – and for way less $$$ too.
I have colored my hair for over 20 years now, and the best shampoo I have used is;
Herbal essences, color-safe. Get the hydralicious brand of herbal essences and get extra protection against breakage.
I love the herbal essence for colored hair too and I also like to use John Frieda for whatever color my hair is at the time. :0)
non-sud-sing shampoo, that sounds awful. Yay for new shampoo! Everyone needs something nice in the shower.
I am using the Moroccanoil shampoo and I love it.. kinda pricey…
WELL, very pricey for me.. but so far, it works wonderful!
The Avon brand of shampoo for color treated hair. Amazing!

I have used a few since I color a lot & will change colors too…
the ones I use the most are John Freda in what ever shade I am at the time…
Pantene also in colors
and Lorel EverPure which is lables sufate free.
I also have thin, limp hair and often will use the shampoos made for thin, limp hair… the conditioners with not feel like they are doing anything when you use them, but you can feel that there are no tangles when you rinse out.
I have had luck with Bath *& Body Works shampoos too.
