Wasting water is a huge issue not just for my wallet, but our Earth. I think my two sons are probably near the top of the list for “water wasters” because they love to just play in the shower. They have toys and cups and make potions with our shampoo and such and would stay in there until the water got cold if I let them. Recently I installed a product called Levaqua which is the world’s first digital shower head and it includes a timer!

Unlike the traditional shower head, Levaqua does not change the type of spray setting with a knob, but instead a digital control panel. You can press a button to choose between Massage, Spray, Combo (of spray and massage) and Eco (which has a 20% water savings). There is also a Program choice where you can choose between to pre programmed spray settings created to either Relax you or Refresh you.

The reason we love the Levaqua digital shower head so much is the timer setting.  When they get into the shower we push the timer button twice which sets up the water to run for 10 minutes and when the water stops, they have to get out. The water won’t stop forever, it simply pauses but it helps them recognize on their own that it is time to be finished. It got to the point where we were constantly nagging them and it was just a big fight. They would get out but not without a lot of arguing. Levaqua gives them the power to handle it without our help and both of them like that.

The Levaqua was really easy to install and took Tim less than 5 minutes. This might be due to our great water pressure, but the actual settings are all very strong and comfortable. The shower head requires 4 Triple A batteries in order to run the digital control pad.
