Wendy’s Posts

We are already big Play-Doh fans at my house. We are also big fans of conveyor belts. My four-year-old became enamored with them during the airport scene of Toy Story 2. Ask Matthew his favorite parts of our recent DisneyWorld trip, and he will say the Buzz Lightyear ride in Tomorrowland, and then the luggage conveyor belt at the airport.

So a Play-Doh set with a conveyor belt? No brainer. The Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory was just as much fun as we anticipated. Matthew loved stamping the toys and food shapes on the conveyor belt, and really, just putting anything on the conveyor belt. This came just in time, as we were running out of excuses to keep him away from the treadmill!!

Watch the Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory video at the site to see it in action. The factory also includes four cans of Play-Doh, a playmat, and two interchangeable gears that do the stamping. The Mega Fun Factory takes 2 C sized batteries that are not included. The “factory” has storage areas for the mini Play-Doh cans. This is a wonderful feature that keeps everything together!

This would make a great gift for any kid, and you’d be giving their parents a gift of a little peace- if they can resist the fun! I absolutely recommend this set!

The retail price is $34.99, but is available for $14.99 at the time of this posting

The Cleanboot is a nice alternative to that cheap, flimsy, plastic boot covers the “cable guy” wears into your house. The Cleanboot is made out of the same type of fabric that a wet suit is made out of. If you know anyone in a service or construction trade that uses these than the cleanboot would be a great gift idea.

I am in the residential construction industry and had a chance to try these out for several weeks.  They are durable and well constructed and easily handled the worst I could give them while putting the finishing touches on over 25 houses in a 3 week time frame.  They had nice traction and my boots were not slipping all around inside the Cleanboot.  I worked in all kinds of weather including snow and they were a snap to put on and take off.  At the end of the day I just turned them inside out, knocked off the dirt or mud and started over the next day.  It is the first I have seen a reusable boot slip on and they are definitely better than the disposable kind that I am use to.  I would recommend these to anyone.  Plus they roll up and fit in stockings.

The Cleanboot can be purchased through http://www.InventHelpStore.com for $24.97.

Holiday Gift Guide! Hip Purse Review!

by Lee on November 20, 2010

Want something stylish, small and hands free to put your money in for Christmas Shopping? Then the Hip Purse is the product you need to check out! I really enjoyed using my Hip Purse. This is great for girls like me that do not like to carry big purses, especially when I am just running out by myself. The Hip Purse was the perfect size for holding my money and the cards I needed for shopping. I also was able to fit in my powder compact and lipstick. The Hip Purse is about the size of a wallet. It has an outer zipper pocket, a main zipper pocket and an inside zipper pocket.

You get to pick which fashionable and comfortable way you want to wear the Hip Purse. It comes with a strap if you prefer to wear your Hip Purse across your body or around your waist. The strap is easily removed with clips if you prefer to attach it right to your pants or belt. The clip is very sturdy and felt secure.

The Hip Purse makes going quick and convenient. This is the perfect gift for all the girls on your Christmas list because it also comes in a style for little girls called “Hands-Off“. You have to check out their website to see all the great styles and colors. The Hip Purse that I reviewed can be purchased online for $18.00.

We love our American Flag Growth Chart Art that is hanging in our patriotic kitchen.  Every family has that special wall where their children’s height is recorded.  It is a timeline of memories.  It is a special place where kids love to run to and shout, “Measure me!”  Children always love to be measured to see how tall they have grown and where they were last year.  The one from when I was growing up is still down on the old basement wall in my parent’s house.  I have often thought about what would happen to that wall of memories when my parents move out of the house.

This must have been the thought of business owner, Ellen McCaleb, when she came up with the Growth Chart Art product.  She is a professional artist and she designs personalized Growth Chart Art so families can record their family history together. The growth chart is movable so it can be hung from house to house.

She offers many different designs from sunflowers to baseball bats.   Growth charts can be purchased at www.GrowthChartArt.com. The retail pricing ranges from $49 – $89. The growth chart will measure 7 ¼” W; 44” L; ½” deep and weighs – 4 lbs. it also comes with a marker to note growth.
