I know I joked below that if I never blogged again it was because I threw myself from a bridge due to bathing suit shopping. And while that is really funny and half true, I actually did fine on my bathing suit shopping trip. The reason I am not blogging is that I am really sick. I must have strep throat. My throat is swollen and so tender. My glands are swollen, my body aches, in general I’m feeling awful.

So my blog is on a bit of a hiatus until I pull myself together.

And there is a good chance I may throw myself into traffic.

I mean really, I hear people complain about jeans shopping all the time. But I am much more put off by bathing suit shopping. All the exposed skin, especially on a fat girl like me. Showing off every ripple and bulge I have.

The other day I turned around and looked at myself from the back in a bathing suit. OMG never do that people!!! I have no idea that I grew breasts on my back! I didn’t even know it was possible. Really, it’s that bad. Back fat people, it’ll put you in the looney bin.

I tend to lean towards tank top styles with shorts or a skirt. I like to emphasize my nice rack and minimize my thunder thighs. Hey, that rhymed. LOL.

So how does bathing suit shopping fare in your home?

Be able to go shopping for a bathing suit and not become depressed afterward.

Okay well not technically, but she did say we could take these awards from her site and post them on our site. There were quite a few to choose from. One I really liked but it had a big fat swear word in it and although sometimes I do swear on my blog, I felt it inappropriate for MySentimentExactLee.com. The reason I chose this one is that sometimes when my husband is ready to leave the house or wants me to clean something or god forbid, have sex with him, I’ll act like I’m really busy in hopes he believes it, when usually I’m just updating my Twitter. I’m not ashamed. He gets to go off to an office and interact with adults all day long and I get to watch Dora and Diego, so he can kiss it!

I’m currently using a shampoo I hate. I won’t name names, but I will say that it is sulfate free and I bought it in a gallon form. It doesn’t suds up. I know that technically shampoo does not have to suds, but for me, it really needs to. I can’t tell if I have coated my hair if it doesn’t lather up well for me. Then once I am finished and get out of the shower my hair ends up being greasy and gross. Especially underneath.

I have finally used up the gallon of useless gross that I’ve been using for a year and now I need something new. What do you use for color treated hair? I want something that suds up really well and keeps your color vibrant because mine tends to fade quickly.

So what do you recommend?

OMG. I know that is a funny way to start out a review but that is how I feel about this product. O-M-G. It is one of those products that has changed my life. It is really that amazing. The $5 Dinner Mom Cookbook by Erin Chase is not just a cookbook. It is also a life changing guide to shopping frugality and healthy eating.

Yes, 80% of The $5 Dinner Mom Cookbook is a cookbook. It’s a good one too. It contains recipes for nearly anything you could imagine eating. Rosemary Orange Chicken, Beef Curry with Raisins, Roasted Bell Pepper Rotini. Those all sound delicious right? Maybe they sound like something you’d probably only eat at a restaurant. Well now they are not only easy but they are inexpensive as well. $5 of less to be exact. Even better, these meals are healthy. Erin believes in using only the best products with little to no chemicals in her cooking and she shares this with us.

You might be wondering how it could be possible that all of these recipes could be so inexpensive? The answer is found at the beginning of the book. Erin Chase teaches us how to manage our budget better by making a list, carrying cash and clipping coupons. After you learn these basics she will also teach you about stockpiling. I have fake nails. I had them put on for the People’s Choice red carpet event because I bite my real nails. It’s a bad habit. Then after that I was going to be interviewing Adam Baldwin and I wanted to keep them looking nice. Now I doubt I’ll have them removed anytime soon. However one issue I was having was trying to get that little flap open on my phone in order to charge it. My nails were too thick to open it.

I don’t have to worry about that anymore because the Verizon Palm Pre has this nifty charger called the Touchstone. I plugged this charger into my phone once, peeled off the sticky tape protector and sealed it to my kitchen counter. Now when I come home all I have to do is lay the phone on top of this device and it immediately begins charging. It is so easy to use and makes my life so much easier. Now my phone is always charged. I don’t have to go searching for my charger and fumble around to open the flap. I just lay the phone down and walk away.

Life made simple.

Ever since Spencer was born Jason has been head over heels in love with him. He is the best big brother in the world. Jason loves to include Spencer in everything he does and it is so much fun to watch. However I realize that one day this will end. You would think that Jason would start to reject Spencer as he gets older but I actually think it will be the other way around. I think that Jason will always be happy to include his brother but one day Spencer will be too cool for Jason, who already leans towards comic books, coin collecting and sci-fi.

For now I’m just going to enjoy it.

You should all know by now how excited I get on Oscar night. The dresses, the hairstyles, the schmoozing and of course…the awards! Oscar night has been a big deal to me my entire life. When I was a little girl my mom would make my favorite appetizers for dinner and we would sit around the coffee table enjoying our snacks while we watched the red carpet and then the awards. As I grew older this tradition lived on, however I was always allowed to invite my friends. One year I even attended an Oscar party with my sister where I had to dress up as a character from an Oscar nominated movie. I chose Wednesday Adams. It was a blast. The host handed out awards to all her friends that mirrored the categories of the Oscars themselves. I think I won Most Dramatic but I could be wrong.

I have plenty of Academy Award memories. I plan to make this year no different. I no longer live with my mom, since I had no choice but to grow up one day, but I’ll be having dinner at her house during red carpet. After that I will come home and watch the show with my husband who probably won’t enjoy it much. I’ll probably jump into the chat room on The Stage Right show to see what they are talking about so I have some form of communication during the show and I will probably be found tweeting quite a bit.

Here is the link to see all the nominations. I have my favorites but I also have my opinions on who I think will win. I really like Jeremy Renner from Hurt Locker but I think he is a long shot. I would love Matt Damon to win for Supporting Actor but that is because he is one of my favorite actors, he however is also a long shot. Gabourey Sidibe should win for Precious, fingers crossed. If Meryl Streep wins I will do something awful, I’m just not sure what yet. And by the way, wasn’t Coraline the previous year? Sometimes it is very confusing.
